OUR CLUB
HISTORY
Palo Verde Republican Women was chartered in January 1974 under the guidance of Mrs. Joan Wood who was elected our first President. From the very beginning, Palo Verde established itself as a very vigorous and active Club, and has remained so throughout the years. We educate our members through the programs presented at our monthly meetings, through the monthly newsletter, and by attending AZFRW quarterly meetings. We are still a very involved and energetic group of Republican women who strive to educate our membership and to elect Republicans to office.
OUR MISSION
Palo Verde Republican Women is organized for the purpose of uniting women to promote Education, Communication, Legislative Action, Candidate Recruitment, Fund Raising and Leadership Development.
GOALS
Promote an informed electorate through political education.
Increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through political participation.
Foster loyalty to the Republican Party, promote its ideals, and work for the election of Republican Party nominees
ACCOLADES
Palo Verde Republican Women is one of the premier grassroots women’s clubs, and the second largest Federation club in Arizona. As a member of the Arizona Federation of Republican Women and National Federation of Republican Women, we are proud to maintain the highest-level awards for these organizations: Turquoise and Diamond designations, respectively, every two years, presented at the state and national biennial conventions. We are honored to be a recipient of the AzFRW Caring for America Award for our Back the Blue program to support our police.
